Restaurants

This is our plan.  Head to Billie's to stock up on fresh seafood (if it swims, they've got it).  On the way back, stop at Tin Top for an afternoon snack or an early dinner.   We are obsessed with the Coco Loco Shrimp (flambeed in coconut rum with mango vinaigrette, served with garlic bread) but the Oysters are also hard to resist.  Actually, everything we've had has been delicious and if the weather cooperates, plan to dine outside on the patio.  We might be sounding like a broken record, but we like the Bushwackers here too....I

They claim to have the best fried shrimp in the civilized world.  We aren't sure if that's an accurate statement but what we do know is that it's the best we've had!  The shrimp are large, lightly battered and perfectly cooked.  You can even customize your cocktail sauce so it's just the way you like it.  The place isn't fancy but if you have a hankering for fried shrimp, head to Doc's!

Looking for a dining experience with a water view?  Cobalt, the Restaurant is nestled under the Perdido Bay Bridge and diners can savor bay views from almost every table.  Open for lunch, dinner and happy hour, they specialize in seafood but have a varied menu so there is something for everyone.  We recommend the Blackened Redfish or the Bronzed Grouper.  And don't miss Happy Hour!  They have a special menu from 3 PM to 5 PM. 

The restaurant locaed at the Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club is open to the public from 7:30 AM to 3 PM.  You'll appreciate the golf course views as you sample the menu of primarily salads and sandwiches.  However the variety is impressive.  You can choose from Shrimp Tacos, Nashville Chicken Sandwich, a Brewban (Guiness Pastrami, Smoked Beer Cheese, Kraut, Remoulade, Bacon-Tomato Jam) and more.  Go for the Brewban!
