This spacious 5-bedroom, 4-bath duplex sits directly on the sand and offers the perfect combination of comfort, character, and panoramic Gulf views. Just offshore, you’ll spot the historic Rachel, a schooner that ran aground in 1923 and has become a beloved local landmark often visible from the property.

The main level is the heart of the home, featuring a wall of windows that frames breathtaking views of the beach and Gulf beyond. A massive dining table anchors the space, allowing everyone to dine together while soaking in the scenery. Additional counter seating ensures there’s room for the entire group to gather comfortably.

The well-appointed kitchen is a dream for group meals, with a unique oversized prep counter that works equally well for cooking, serving, or casual buffet-style dining. You’ll also enjoy granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and durable hard-surface flooring throughout the home—perfect for beach living.

This level also includes a large pantry, a full-size washer and dryer, and a full bathroom for added convenience.

Private Retreats Across Three Levels

On the second level, the primary suite offers a true escape. Enjoy a king-size bed, private balcony access, and a spacious ensuite bath complete with a garden tub, double vanity, stall shower, and private water closet.

Also on this level are two additional king bedrooms that share a well-appointed hall bathroom, offering comfort and privacy for guests.

The third level is ideal for families or larger groups, featuring a king bedroom and an expansive bunk room. The bunk room includes two triple twin bunk beds, along with a full-over-full bunk and a twin trundle—plenty of space for kids or extra guests.

We had a great time. The area was clean and well maintained. The beach was quiet. We spent a lot of time on the balcony just listening to the sound of the waves. It was very pleasant and relaxing.

It was a nice time with the family, but very expensive. A little over $9000 while at the same time my neighbor was paying a little over $6000 for the same thing.... I’m not sure how that can be but I will find out.
Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the bedding (sandy sheets, dirty bedspreads and pillows)The upstairs bunk room beds were not all made . Some were dirty some had hair on them. After an all day drive that night we were washing bedding.

In regard to pricing, rates can vary depending on the date the reservation was booked. However, the guests staying in the west side during the same time frame as your stay, paid the same price as you (within $100). Beach house had great access to the beach. House was in good condition. The huge dining room table was great to use with all the people we had. We had plenty of parking for our 5 vehicles.

Very family friendly, plenty of room but does have lots of steps if you have a handicap family member! Beach front is perfect for the kids and then to run in and grab lunch!!!! Does need an overall deep cleaning and updates.

The living room rug was wet, you could tell they had just mopped before we got there- and that’s ok...just not ok to have a soaking wet rug. The doors out onto the balcony on the main floor don’t really stay closed if it’s windy. You have to dead bolt it. Tons of air flows through non stop. The dryer doesn’t work too well and leave lint all over everything. The beds are super loud, but ok for a week stay.

The beds are fairly new and we have not had any complaints in the past about them. We provide multiple avenues for communication and have staff readily available to assist guests. Home had everything available that you need. You are close great restaurants, dollar generals and fresh seafood. How nice to walk out and be on the beach.

Perfect location, great view of beach. Nice decks upstairs and down. Dog friendly. Everything worked well. Well stocked kitchen. Surprisingly private despite being a duplex (there is a wall dividing the decks).

The place was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable after spending the day on the beach. It was really nice being able to hear the waves and see them from the house. My family and I loved being able to just walk out and be on the beach. Great for them bathroom breaks!

The vacation home and area was nice. It’s a duplex home. I’m assuming it was well insulated and sound proof between the two bc we had kids and the neighbors had bigger dogs. We didn’t hear them. It was far from the main stores/restaurants than what I expected but nice at the same time. We had a peaceful beach front. There’s construction next door and further down on the upcoming beach homes early in the morning to late at night at times. They would park near the driveway. The home looked just like the pictures. When we arrived, we cleaned up a bit bc there was still sand on the floors, stairs, and couches. The kitchen was equipped with cookware and plenty of cups/plates/silverware when we would cook. Overall, it was a nice beachfront, away from the public crowded beaches.

Great vacation rental right on the beach. For a party of 10 we had lots of space. Large dining table worked well for meals as well as puzzles and games.

The house is amazing! Awesome views, clean house, quiet beach, and fast response from owners. The only suggestion so would have is to add a chest of drawers for clothing storage to each of the bedrooms. It could be placed in the closet. It was not ideal for the adults that weren’t in the master to have to live out of their suitcase all week. This was a minor inconvenience, though, and all agreed we will be back!!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Commodore East. The property manager stopped by shortly after our arrival to check on us. We made her aware that the picnic table under the house was very wobbly & the light bulb over the stove was out. She quickly brought us a bulb & the next morning someone was there bracing the table. We bought a rug to put outside the door to help keep some of the sand out, and bought measuring cups. It rained a couple mornings & we noticed some leaks along with some mold on some of the ceilings. My daughter found hair in her sheets & candy wrappers in one of the bunk beds. She didn’t let me know until later in the week or I would’ve made they manager aware. The location is perfect & the house has a perfect layout for multiple families & the bunk room is wonderful for the kids except for the 3rd floor is hot. There were floor fans in both rooms but it still was warm. Not sure if the AC unit isn’t big enough to cool both the 2nd & 3rd floor.

Generally every other year our three grown daughters and their families join us at the Fort Morgan coast. This is the first stay at the Commodore East and Coastal Vacations. The location was ideal directly on the beachfront, newly decorated, and very spacious for our 16 people. The huge bunk room with 6 twins and 2 full-size bunk were great for all the kids. The management team was awesome, always helpful and quick to respond.
A great choice for us this year.
