Welcome to Sun Kissed East! This cozy, small dog friendly Fort Morgan duplex beach cottage is the perfect, affordable choice for your Gulf front vacation. Sun Kissed East is located in the family friendly neighborhood of Surfside. You'll have easy access to world class restaurants and great shopping if you choose to make the scenic 15-minute drive to town. But you'll find tasty options close by should you choose to stay close to home.
You'll want to spend as much time as possible on the new, expansive 10'x30' deck. The owners have also invested in desirable poly-wood deck furniture, so you'll have ample, comfortable seating. Be sure and catch the sunset each evening. One is more spectacular than the last! If you've never stayed in a beachfront property, you'll appreciate the convenience of being able to return to the house in just seconds. And no packing up the car to drive to the beach!
It has an open floor plan with a comfortable living area where you get that million-dollar beach view! You'll find counter stools for dining and a full kitchen for preparing simple meals.
The master bedroom features a king bed w/ private 1/2 bath where you can wake up to that beautiful Gulf view. The second bedroom has a full bed and a twin over twin bunk and the home has 1 full hall bath and 1 half bath in the King room.
It just doesn't get any better! Great views and just steps to the surf. Need more room? Sun Kissed West, right next door is also a rental option.
* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Fort Morgan
Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.
Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.
Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sun Kissed East. The location couldn't be better, right on the beach and away from the busy tourist area of the Gulf Shores. Being able to bring our 11 year old dog along on our family vacation was a huge plus for us and he absolutely loved it. The deck and furniture make for a very relaxing space to hangout. The house isn't anything fancy but it suited our needs just fine. Nothing can beat that view from the master bedroom, going to bed with the sounds of the ocean and waking up to that view was amazing. The house was clean for the most part, aside from the air register under the table and floors behind/under some of the furniture, minor things. There is a strong fish odor in the fridge/freezer that could probably use a few more baking soda boxes to help out but we also realized that considering the location someone may have went fishing and needed to store their fresh fish during the stay. Staff was very friendly and more than helpful with our questions. Overall we had an amazing family vacation and will most definitely be back again.

Overall the place was suitable. It definitely had a musty odor to it and could use a few hygiene updates (new shower curtain liner - pink mold present, fridge/freezer smelled of fish - more arm and hammer boxes or changed more often). The mattresses were on the firmer side but plenty of beds and pillows provided. An umbrella for the patio would be my only suggestion but maybe its not feasible. The chairs on the patio were nice and comfortable. The chairs down below were broken and cracked but we were thankful for them to have some shade.

The house/duplex was a great place to stay. Right on the beach which is great for the kids when they are bored can go back to the house and chill. Got to see a Blue Angel do stunts, dolphins feeding off shore, and the beach is essentially private. House is nothing fancy, but who cares. Just a place to lie down at the end of the day. Overall very well kept and clean.

I love this rental company! They are always very kind considerate customer friendly and take care of their properties. Sunkissed east is a wonderful location right on the beach. My only complaint is that there is no carpet in the house and I hate grit on the floor, so I recommend picking up a rug from the dollar tree during your stay to help control the amount of sand inside, lol!

The house was cute and recently given a makeover. The house was clean except the fans and the air register. The beds were comfortable. We love the location as it is right on the beach and quiet. The house was stocked with all the things you need to cook with. We requested a bigger skillet and Dee Dee brought one right over to us! We had a great stay. It’s our second time to stay here and I know we will be back!

Amazing location on the beach. Loved going to sleep with the sound of the ocean and waking to see the sparkling sand and beautiful waters. House was clean and very comfortable (will be even nicer when updates completed and maybe a dining table added). Property manager and housekeeping were great!!

This was my second time to stay at Sunkissed East. Earlier in the summer my adult daughter and I visited and had a wonderful time. All of the accommodations were as described and it was clean and tidy. My second trip was with my husband and we found everything in order and clean. We agreed the best thing about Sun Kissed is the location and distance to the beach. We had a great time.

This is a clean perfect place. We all were extremely comfortable and slept great! The patio is perfect for grilling and spending time with family. It is directly on the beach and so no long walks toting a bunch of stuff. Super convenient to get to local stores for necessities. Will definitely stay here next year! Washer and dryer was so nice to have too!!

The rental was in a great location right on the beach. It was perfect for our small dog with the nice deck. The deck furniture was super nice and we really enjoyed being out there. However the inside needs a lot of work. We could tell some flooring was newer and some work had been done. The kitchen was kind of shabby and the tile needed to be replaced. I’m sure it’s been through some hurricanes but if I had paid $533 a night, I would have really been disappointed.

Thank you for the feedback. Sun Kissed East is an older beach front home and the owner is planning on updating later in the year. As you mentioned, the deck furniture has been replaced with high end poly-wood. The home does stay full because smaller, beach front homes that are pet friendly are not terribly common.

This little duplex was just right for our little Spring Break trip! Just enough room and mere steps from the water! The master bed was a little hard and would’ve liked there to be an automatic dishwasher, but those were minor compared to our overall enjoyment of the place and location! Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely love Sun Kissed East! It’s perfect for our family and we’ve enjoyed several Spring Breaks here, and will definitely be back!
